Fliegl Unveils the New Wiesel Compact at IAA Transportation

At this year’s IAA Transportation trade show, held September 15–20 in Hannover, Germany, Fliegl Construction and Municipal Technology is setting new standards for efficiency and construction site safety in road construction.

The company will present its innovative Wiesel Compact model to an international audience for the first time. This versatile attachment significantly expands the capabilities of the proven ASS and ASW product series, making material transport operations on construction sites more flexible than ever before.

Maximum Flexibility for Any Bulk Material at the Push of a Button

The new Wiesel Compact is fully compatible with all Fliegl ASS and ASW models and has been specifically designed to handle a wide variety of bulk materials. One of its greatest advantages in daily operation is its intelligent mode-switching system. With the push of a button, operators can quickly switch between precise auger operation and standard unloading without losing valuable time. If the auger is not needed temporarily, it can be covered within just a few minutes, eliminating the need for time-consuming removal. This makes the system the ideal all-around solution for asphalt, gravel, sand, and many other bulk materials.

Precise Material Placement and Maximum Safety

At IAA Transportation, the Wiesel Compact will be showcased in combination with the high-performance Asphalt Profi-Thermo ASS 372 Mega push-off trailer. One of the system’s standout features is its 180-degree swiveling chute, which enables highly accurate material placement. Whether filling individual wheelbarrows or placing material directly into road shoulders or utility trenches, the chute ensures precise, controlled delivery exactly where it is needed.

Fliegl also places a strong emphasis on jobsite safety. Combined with the proven Fliegl push-off technology, which unloads material without raising the trailer body, the system provides outstanding stability on any surface. This significantly reduces the risk of accidents, particularly when handling hot asphalt. In addition, the Wiesel Compact is operated conveniently and precisely using the standard wireless remote control, allowing workers to monitor and control the unloading process from a safe distance while remaining outside the danger zone.

Continuous Paver Operation and Reliable Asphalt Temperature Protection

Another major advantage in everyday paving operations is the uninterrupted workflow. The complete system remains mounted while approaching and docking with the asphalt paver, eliminating the need for time-consuming disassembly and keeping paving operations running efficiently. The concept is further enhanced by a custom-fit cover that securely seals the system, helping to retain the temperature of the asphalt mix until placement.
